Optimum Extraction Technology for the Seed Oil of Nigella
The extraction rate of the once extraction could reach 33.51% under the conditions of liquid-seed ratio: 9 : 1 mL/g, extraction temperature: 35 C, extraction time: 1 h, and particle size: 60 meshes. The optimum twice extraction conditions with the extraction rate of 43.78% were 8 : 1 ml/g, 40 C, 1.5 h, and 60 meshes.

A Narrative Review on Various Oil Extraction Methods
Oil can be extracted from Nigella sativa seeds by using the different methods. According to the Kiralan et al. [ 52 ], the cold pressing method is suitable for extracting Nigella sativa oil from seeds. In this method, mechanical pressing was used for the pressing of seeds at a temperature of 25 C.
A comparative study of black cumin seed (Nigella sativa L
Table 1 summarizes the physical and chemical characteristics of black cumin seed oil. The yield of oil extracted by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE, 37.0%) was higher than oil obtained by solvent extraction (S, 34.0%) and cold press (P, 29.0%) methods. The highest oil yield with SFE is likely due to the uses of high pressure (35 MPa), low tempe...mdpi
Full article: The effects of different extraction solvents on
DPPH assay tests have clearly distinguished the radical scavenging ability of Nigella sativa oil extracted from its respective solvents, as shown in Figure 4. Based on the electron transfer assay, the scavenging activity of various Nigella sativa seed oil extractives is expressed as the percentage inhabitation. It seems that the extractable
A Narrative Review on Various Oil Extraction Methods
The current review investigates the effects of black seed (Nigella sativa) on human health, which is also used to encapsulate and oxidative stable in different food
Microwave-assisted extraction of Nigella sativa L. essential
In this work, microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) of the essential oil from Nigella sativa L. seeds and its antioxidant activity were studied. Response surface methodology based on central composite design was used to evaluate the effects of extraction time, irradiation power and moisture content on extraction yield and TQ content.
